Since Summer is fast approaching, I wanted to think of things that would appeal to people more because of the season. I was trying to think of what is popular at Summer Fairs and stalls you'd come across at conventions. One thing I thought of straightaway was Face Painting!
At the creche I work at part-time, I have been asked many times to do odd face painting jobs, because they recognized my artistic skill. I really get a kick out of it, and it requires little preparation to do. All that's required are the paint, mirror, wipes, water, and a bit of know-how!
Here's a book that I have used a lot to do some really nice painted faces.
I don't always need to rely on the book either. I'm pretty good at improvising! I was once asked to paint a Ben 10 logo on a little boy's hand. Not easy, but I like a challenge!
I think this is a great way to appeal to children who are out with their parents. I also think that this will keep people at our stall longer, so that the rest of the family can look at what else is on offer, whilst their child gets a nice tiger or butterfly painted on them!
